Tapestry Crochet Cactus Pattern

Since I've seen some adorable amigurumi cactus, that just melted my heart, I'm in a gigantic cactus crush! I finally got to design a cactus related pattern and I must say it wasn't easy to make those little cactus shapes. But now that I managed to figure it out I already have some more ideas to try out soon!
Is there anyone else with a cactus crush?? If so, then I think this pattern is perfect for you!

For this cactus pattern I used Mississippi 3 Katia's yarn in color sand (for the background), pistachio and nenufar (for the cactus) and black (for the little triangles).

I love the color combo. The contrast between the two tones of green and how the little black triangles pop out of the sand background! After doing and undoing the design so many times, I'm really happy about how this pattern turned out and to share it with you!

The approximate dimensions of this cute cactus pouch is H-15 cm/5,9 inches; W-24 cm/8,4 inches. There are so many uses for it that it's hard to choose what to do with it.

All that's left to do is to sew a simple black zipper and this clutch is ready for a test drive! I can't wait to use it!

If you'd like to give this tapestry pattern a try, it's available at my Etsy Shop.
The PDF has a total of 10 pages, including the cover, where you'll find a beginner friendly english tutorial with instructions and pictures that will walk you through the making of the pouch. Nonetheless, you NEED to know the basics of crocheting.
If you are a more experienced crocheter you'll be able to go directly to the written pattern and tapestry chart.

You can also follow me on Facebook, Instagram (@thestoryofamulberry) and Pinterest to see beautiful crochet goodies, sneak peeks of my work in progress, giveaways and hopefully be inspired.

See you soon,
