Tapestry Crochet Pattern - "Scrambled Chevron Pouch"

I love chevron patterns especially in blankets which is where I got the inspiration for this design. I thought that it would be a great idea to try some tapestry chevron but I wanted to spice it up a bit so I mixed the colors instead of placing them in an oderly manner.

I'm excited to finally share with you how the "Scrambled Chevron Crochet Pouch" turned out and I have to say that it really meets my expectations. I already was loving it while I was crocheting and now that it's finished I just want to use it!

For this project I used 7 different colors from Katia's yarn Mississippi 3, as always. I've never been disapointed by this yarn and I think it's a perfect yarn to make bags. It's a blend of cotton and acrylic that is machine washable at 30ºC and each ball of 50g has approximately 210m/230yds. I chose the combo blue, black, white, coral, light yellow, light blue and light orange.

After a few rows you can already have a glimpse of how the pattern is coming out. It's at that point that you can evaluate if you like the design, if the colors look good together and for this one I just fell in love with all of it. I'm really excited about trying it with different color combinations.

After finishing the tapestry crochet part, came the time to sew the zipper. I confess it's my least favourite part of making pouches, I would gladly delegate it to someone else if I could, but once it's done it's all forgotten!

The approximate size of this pouch is H - 15cm/5,9 inches and W - 20cm/7,9 inches.
You can use it for anything you want. Would be perfect as a colorful summer clutch, or to take it with you in your daily purse for your beauty essentials or to use it at home as a cosmetic bag or store anything you want. If like me you love to craft and crochet, a lot of hooks, needles, stitch markers and other crafting materials easily fit in this pouch!
Making this bag would also be a great, unique and thoughtful handmade gift!

What do you think of it? I'd love to ear your opinion!
If you'd liked it and want to give this pattern a try, it's available at my Etsy Shop.

The PDF has a total of 10 pages, including the cover, where you'll find a beginner friendly english tutorial with instructions and pictures that will walk you through the making of the pouch. Nonetheless, you NEED to know the basics of crocheting.
If you are a more experienced crocheter you'll be able to go directly to the written pattern and tapestry chart.
