I've wanted for a while to do some ombré pattern. I love the gradient effect and I think that the tapestry technique is ideal for it. I had a lot of different shades of blue, cause let's face it, it's my favourite color, so I decided it was just perfect for the design.
I didn't wanted to do a basic stripe gradient even if I love them, specially in blankets. As usual, I needed to spice it up and create somethig a bit more intricate (as if tapestry crochet isn't challenging enough) and came up with spikes that makes me think of mountains in the horizon.
Always loyal to Katia's Mississippi 3 yarn with 3 shades of blue plus off white and a simple white zipper for the closure with no lining.
This pouch is approximately H - 15 cm/5,9 inches; W - 21 cm/8,2 inches.
You can use it as you want. As a clutch, as a cosmetic bag that you can use at home or to carry with you in your daily purse.
If you love to craft and crochet, this pouch can carry a lot of hooks, needles and other crafting materials!
I think that this one would look so beautiful with any color but I really want to make another one (sometime in the future) with a black/gray/white gradient!
If you'd like to give this pattern a try, it's available at my Etsy Shop.
The PDF has a total of 10 pages, including the cover, where you'll find a beginner friendly english tutorial with instructions and pictures that will walk you through the making of the pouch. Nonetheless, you NEED to know the basics of crocheting.
If you are a more experienced crocheter you'll be able to go directly to the written pattern and tapestry chart.
