RUBY DIAMOND - free tapestry crochet pattern

Hello everyone!
I know I've been a little bit absent of the virtual world, but I really needed some time to refocus and enjoy crocheting again! I was getting caught by the stress of social media performance, which was putting me into a creative rut, making me loose sight of why I started crocheting in the first place and taking the fun out of it all.

I started learning tapestry crochet because it appeared to me as a beautiful, intricate and challenging crochet technique. I immediatly fell in love with it, with all the creative possibilities, like a whole new world in front of me. I hoped that with my work I would be able to bring more peolple into trying and loving tapestry crochet. Now, I'm slowly getting my crojo back and one of my resolutions is to create some FREE PATTERNS. That way I can really share with you my journey and what I've learned and still am learning!

Scrambled Chevron Crochet Pattern

It's been a while since my last post, but I'm back with new colorful intricate designs! Even if I had so much fun creating the cosmetic pouches that allowed me to do and learn some new things, I confess that I was missing crocheting with more than 3 colors and designing geometric patterns!

The "Lipstick" Crochet Cosmetic Bag

For this third cosmetic bag made for the "WRITINGS" collection I chose the word "lipstick". After the "Make Up" and the "Beauty Stuff" designs I decided to go with some more specific words of the cosmetic world and "lipstick" seemed to be the perfect one.

Cosmetic Pouch Tapestry Crochet PATTERN

This is the second pattern I designed for the "Writing" colection of modern crochet cosmetic pouches. I chose a burgundy tone colour cause I love them and it's a happy coincidence that it's a very trendy colour at the moment!

After doing some colorful clutches, I decided to put my tapestry crochet skills to do makeup bags. If you think about it, makeup bags are like clutches but smaller right?! I guess I'm really into pouches! :)
I leave you with a sneak peek of my work in progress. Very excited about finishing it, showing you the result and writing the pattern!
I'll be back with more makeup bags designs, so stay tuned!

Woven Artsy Wall Crochet Clutch

It seems that colorful tapestry crochet clutches are here to stay. This is my third one after the Rainbow Mountain Pikes [see here] and the Diamond Forest [see here] and I'm already thinking about the next one! All the designs and color possibilities make tapestry crochet very interesting, challenging and appealing, at least to me. You're sure to never be bored with it, maybe frustrated sometimes but never bored!

Very First Crochet Tutorial!

Being featured by @crochetgirlgang on instagram with my Rainbow Mountain Pikes crochet clutch gave me some visibility and a received lots of compliments about my work, as well as kind and encouraging words from crochet lovers. Some asked me for tutorials of my works and others even asked me for tips and advices. I felt very flattered that my work was appreciated and that people reached out to me for help. I really don't see myself as an expert in crochet, quite the contrary, I've been crocheting for just a little time and I still have a lot to learn. But I do my best in every project I made!

That being said, all the great feedback gave me the motivation to make tutorials of my crochet designs. I had read lots of tutorials online but never tought that one day I would be doing one for others to see.

Diamond Forest Crochet Clutch

Yes, another colorful crochet clutch! What can I say?!
Well, I guess I can start by saying that being featured by @crochetgirlgang on instagram with my Rainbow Mountain Pikes crochet clutch [see here] and read all the good feedback and kind words really boost me to create more.

I called this one the Diamond Forest crochet clutch!

Sneak Peek - Work in Progress

I was so pleased with my first colored crochet clutch, that I named  Rainbow Mountain Pikes crochet clutch [can see here], that I couldn't wait to start another colored crochet clutch design.
So, after the usual struggle with the choice of the colors combo I decided to go with some green turquoise + pastel green + fuschia + light pink + white + black. I use Mississippi 3 from the brand Katia wich is a 60% cotton and 40% acrylic yarn.

There is a little sneak peek of what I've been working to share with you how it's turning out. I'm really excited to finish the clutch and see the final result. I'm loving doing colored tapestry crochet and I must confess that even if this one is not yet finished I'm already thinking about the next one! #crochetaddict

The color combo is great for summer and it makes me think about nature and flowers with the green and pink tones. What do think of it so far?
I still haven't came up with a name for this crochet clutch and I would like to hear your suggestions to help me figure it out :)

Rainbow Mountain Pikes Crochet Clutch

After doing the Black&White collection [can see here], wich allowed me to get familiar and practice the tapestry technique, I was eager to try some colorful patterns. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE black and white clutches and I'm intending doing some more designs with those two colors, but maybe it was the summer call making me wanting some colorful and vibrant accessories.
